Risk Disclosure

This is a separate legal document because the risks of crypto trading are substantial and deserve dedicated disclosure. Read it before depositing capital.

§ 01

Market risk

Cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile. You may lose some or all of your invested capital. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

§ 02

The 2.5% / 3% circuit breaker — not a guarantee

The 2.5% / 3% daily technical circuit breaker is a risk control. It is not a promise about your maximum loss. The verbatim disclosure reads:

The 2.5% / 3% daily circuit breaker is a technical risk control, NOT a guarantee of maximum loss. Market gaps, slippage, exchange outages, liquidity events, or technical failures may cause losses exceeding 3%. STAXIS does not insure against losses. The user is at all times the sole holder of their capital and assumes the corresponding risk.

§ 03

Counterparty risk on your venue

STAXIS does not custody your funds. Your capital remains on your chosen exchange or wallet. If your exchange — Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini — fails, is hacked, or files for bankruptcy, STAXIS is not liable for losses arising from venue failure.

§ 04

Smart contract risk (DEX path)

For users on the Privy delegated-signing path, transactions occur on decentralised exchanges with smart-contract risk. STAXIS uses vetted DEX protocols but does not audit them.

§ 05

Technical failure risk

A bug in STAXIS, in Privy, in HashiCorp Vault, or in your exchange’s API may prevent the breaker from acting or cause incorrect trade execution. We disclose all material incidents in the monthly Calibration Report.

§ 06

Regulatory risk

Cryptocurrency regulation is evolving. Future regulatory changes may restrict or eliminate STAXIS’s ability to operate in your jurisdiction. We commit to providing 12-month notice and a clean wind-down where possible.

§ 07

Strategy-specific risk

Each swarm carries thesis-specific risks. The monthly Calibration Report discloses notable strategy losses and degradations.

§ 08

No fiduciary duty

STAXIS provides infrastructure. STAXIS is not your fiduciary, financial advisor, or tax advisor. You make investment decisions based on your own analysis.

§ 09

No investment advice

Nothing on staxis.ai, in our Calibration Reports, in our blog, in our docs, or in any STAXIS communication constitutes investment advice. The information is general; your situation requires personalised analysis.

§ 10

Consult a professional

Before depositing capital, consult your CPA, wealth advisor, or attorney about whether STAXIS is appropriate for your situation.

§ 11

Jurisdictional disclosures

Argentine residents: see the PSAV legend.

EU residents: see jurisdictions.

US residents: see jurisdictions.

Specific counsel-finalised jurisdictional disclosures will appear here before launch.
